While using the Shot Scope app during a round, you may notice that the Apple Watch screen switches off when you lower your wrist. This can sometimes make it appear as though the Shot Scope app has closed.
Why Does This Happen?
This is expected Apple Watch behaviour designed to help conserve battery during your round.
When your wrist is lowered, the watch screen may switch off or pause the display. This does not necessarily mean that the Shot Scope app has closed or stopped recording your round.
What Happens When I Raise My Wrist?
When you raise or turn your wrist to look at your Apple Watch again, the screen should wake up and display the Shot Scope app with the course and current hole you are playing.
If the app returns to the correct hole when the screen wakes, your round is still active and you can continue playing as normal.
