Shot Scope devices and apps can be used in the vast majority of amateur golf competitions.
However, some elite or highly regulated events may have additional restrictions on the use of distance measuring devices. To ensure compliance, we recommend checking with a rules official before starting your round.
Some Shot Scope features, such as Plays Like Distances, are not permitted under the Rules of Golf during competition play. If you're unsure, we recommend enabling Competition Mode, which automatically disables any features that are not permitted, helping to ensure your device complies with the Rules of Golf.
As competition conditions can vary, it's always a good idea to confirm the local rules of the event before you play.
