When you're playing a round with the Shot Scope Apple Watch app, the play screen provides all the key information you need to plan your next shot at a glance.
Hole Number, Par and Score to Par
In the top-left corner of the screen, you'll see the current hole number along with the par for that hole and your current score to par if tracking the round.
This allows you to quickly confirm which hole you're playing and its par without needing to navigate away from the main screen.
Front, Middle and Back Green Distances
Down the left-hand side of the screen, you'll find three distances to the green:
- Front – Distance to the front edge of the green.
- Middle – Distance to the centre of the green.
- Back – Distance to the back edge of the green.
These GPS distances update automatically as you move around the course, helping you choose the right club for your next shot.
Hole Map
On the right-hand side of the screen, you'll see a map of the current hole.
The map displays:
- A blue dot showing your current location on the course.
- The expected landing positions of your clubs if struck well, based on your Shot Scope performance data.
This gives you a visual guide to how far each club is likely to travel, helping you make more informed decisions and plan your way around the hole.
Plays Like Distances
When Plays Like Distances are enabled, a light blue box will appear alongside the distance to the target.
The box contains:
An arrow indicating whether the adjusted distance is more or less than the straight-line distance.
A number showing how many yards or metres the distance has been adjusted by.
Down arrow (↓) – The adjusted distance is shorter than the actual GPS distance.
Up arrow (↑) – The adjusted distance is longer than the actual GPS distance.
Example:
If the box shows a down arrow with the number 5, the Plays Like Distance is 5 yards (or metres) shorter than the actual distance to the target. If the GPS distance is 150 yards, the Plays Like Distance would be 145 yards.
