The Apple Watch app includes a range of settings that allow you to customise how the app looks and behaves during your round. To access the settings, open the Shot Scope app on your Apple Watch and navigate to the Settings menu.
Units
Choose the distance units displayed throughout the app.
- Yards
- Metres
Simply tap the setting to switch between the two options.
Club Distances
Choose how club distances are displayed on the course map.
- P-AVG – Uses your Shot Scope Performance Average (P-Avg) distances based on your on-course data.
- Manual – Uses the manually entered distances from your MyBag club settings.
Auto Swing Detect
Enable or disable automatic swing detection.
- On – The app will automatically detect your swing and ask what club you hit.
- Off – Automatic shot detection is disabled and shots are added manually.
Battery Saver
Reduce battery usage during your round.
- On – Optimises battery life by reducing power consumption.
- Off – Uses standard battery settings.
Monochrome Theme
Change the appearance of the course maps.
- On – Displays maps using a monochrome colour scheme.
- Off – Displays full-colour course maps.
Game Mode
Choose how you want to use the app during your round.
- GPS & Tracking – Displays GPS distances and allows you to track your shots.
- GPS Only – Displays GPS distances without shot tracking.
Plays Like
Enable or disable Plays Like Distances.
- On – Adjusts distances to account for elevation changes and environmental conditions where available.
- Off – Displays straight-line GPS distances only.
Note: Plays Like Distances are not permitted in many competitions. Enable Tournament Mode when playing in competitive events.
Green View
Choose how the green is displayed.
- Heat Maps – Shows slopes and gradients using colour-coded heat maps.
- Contours – Displays contour lines to represent the shape of the green.
Tournament Mode
Enable Tournament Mode for competition play.
- On – Disables features that are not permitted under the Rules of Golf, such as Plays Like Distances.
- Off – All supported features remain available.
We recommend enabling Tournament Mode whenever you're playing in a competition.
Use Geo Themes
Choose whether course maps use geographic course styling.
- On – Displays maps using the selected geographic theme.
- Off – Uses the standard course appearance.
Map Theme
Personalise the appearance of your course maps by selecting a map style.
Available themes include options such as:
- Links
- Parkland
- Other available course themes
Changing the map theme only affects the appearance of the course and does not change any GPS or tracking functionality.
