Starting a round on your Apple Watch is quick and easy. Follow the steps below to begin tracking your game:
1. Open the Shot Scope App
On your Apple Watch, navigate to and open the Shot Scope app.
2. Select Your Course
Choose the course you are playing from the list.
If you select a 9-hole course, you’ll be asked whether you are playing 18 holes.
If you select Yes, you’ll be prompted to choose the course you’ll be playing for your back 9 before continuing.
3. Wait for the Course to Load
The course map will begin downloading to your watch.
Note: Depending on your connection and the size of the course, this may take a short while to complete.
4. Choose Your Round Type
Select how you would like to play your round:
GPS Round – View GPS distances throughout your round.
GPS & Track Round – Record your shots while using GPS distances.
5. Choose Your Round Settings
Select whether you want to enable Tournament Settings.
When Tournament Settings are enabled, all features and settings within the app are adjusted to comply with the Rules of Golf for tournament play. If you’re playing in a competition where distance-measuring devices are permitted, enabling this option ensures only tournament-legal features are available during your round.
6. Start Your Round
Once you’re happy with your selections, tap confirm to begin playing.
Your round is now active, and you’re ready to head to the first tee.
